KOKOSHA is a project created by Kseniia Kossaia, an ornamentalist and interior designer. Her love for
arts and crafts, as well as experience working for a major fashion house, led her to create her very own
brand of clothing and accessories.
The goal of the project is to show the beauty and diversity of folk ornamentation as part of modern
fashion trends. In terms of images and figurative content, the author's works refer to the themes of
decorative and applied art of different nations, thus forming a unique style in the aesthetics of neo-
folklorism.
Kseniia studied at the Moscow Institute for the Decorative and Applied Arts, where she fell in love with
ornament and folk art. After graduating, she worked for several years at a fashion house as a textile and
accessory designer.
She then studied at the School of Interior Design, after which, along with a fellow architect, opened a
design office, where they created public and private spaces.
By 2016, a new project, KOKOSHA, was launched. Initially, the brand produced silk and cotton
accessories, as well as summer dresses. Over time, the project has grown and the range has expanded.
The company now has multiple stores. It cooperates with parters in different countries and presents its
collections at international exhibitions in Paris.
